Our club brings together cultural background, friendship and public presence. This creates a place for folklore, exchange and shared responsibility.
Who we are
A club from NRW with many perspectives
Amigos de Bolivia e.V. is made up of Bolivians living in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as people who feel connected to Bolivian culture. This includes members with roots in Germany, Ecuador, Peru and other countries.
This diversity shapes our everyday club life. It makes our rehearsals, performances and encounters a place where different experiences come together and something shared emerges.
What we do
Dancing folklore, fostering exchange
One of the main aims of our club is to make the richness of Bolivian culture and folklore accessible to a broad audience. That is why our dance group performs at cultural events both nationally and internationally across Europe.
For us, every performance is more than just a contribution to a program. It is a contribution to intercultural understanding and an invitation to discover Bolivian traditions with openness and respect.

If you want to dance with us, now is the right time to get started.
On the membership page you will find the next steps, information about the trial rehearsal and everything important for getting started in the club.
Our club was founded on March 9, 1997. Since then, a community has grown that carries its cultural work on a voluntary basis and has developed it over many years.
Since 1997
Shared cultural work grew into a club with a clear identity.
What began as a wish to preserve culture, encounter and togetherness within the club has over the years developed into a stable structure with rehearsals, performances, organisation and responsibilities behind the scenes.
Our history is therefore not only a sequence of dates, but above all the story of people who take on tasks, pass on knowledge and carry the club forward together over many years.

Volunteering
Our work depends on the commitment of our members
The club runs on voluntary work. Rehearsals, organisation, costumes, travel, performances and much of the work in the background only function because people contribute time, ideas and responsibility.

Foundation
With the foundation of the club, the shared commitment gained a fixed framework and a long-term perspective.
Development
From a circle to a club structure
Early shared activities grew into stable processes, responsibilities and a club life that still holds today.
Continuity
Passing on and carrying forward
Dances, experience and organisational knowledge are passed on within the club and taken over by newly committed members.
Today
A mature club structure
Today the club combines stage presence, community and voluntary organisation into a form of work that goes beyond individual performances.
